Slap Battles Pim Boss Fight: Every Phase, Key and Reward

What Pim actually is

Pim is the boss encounter players reach through the portals at the end of the glove hallway, and it is the single most searched thing in Slap Battles right now — the term went from almost no traffic to roughly 22,000 monthly searches in the space of a few weeks.

The reason for the spike is what the fight drops. Clearing it awards the Banish the Night badge, and that badge is the key that unlocks the Static glove added on 7 August 2026. Static cannot be bought with slaps and cannot be earned any other way.

How rare is a Pim clear, really

This is the part every other page skips, so here is the actual number.

The public Roblox badge API reports 38,697 players holding Banish the Night as of 31 August 2026. Measured against a game with more than 3.6 billion visits, that puts it third-rarest of the 165 badges in the game — behind only two “you met a specific person” novelty badges that cannot be earned through gameplay at all.

For comparison, the companion badge Unmasked (“delve into the heart of the abyss and find what awaits you at its core”), created the same week, sits at 117,412 holders. Three times as many people reached the abyss as actually finished what lives in it.

BadgeCreatedHoldersWhat it means
Unmasked2026-08-06117,412Reached the heart of the abyss
Banish the Night2026-08-0638,697Actually cleared the fight

Those two numbers together tell you the real difficulty: roughly two in three players who get in never finish.

Getting in: the five keys

Access is gated behind a key hunt rather than a slap count. Community walkthroughs published in August 2026 consistently describe the same structure:

  1. Head down the glove hallway toward the portals at the far end.
  2. Collect five keys scattered through the run-up area.
  3. Survive the Liminal stretch that separates the keys from the arena.
  4. The portal opens once all five are in hand.

Because this is a hunt rather than a purchase, there is no shortcut through slaps or Robux, and no code will skip it.

The fight: three phases

The encounter runs in three phases, and the mechanic that carries through all of them is the Shout ability you pick up on the way in.

The pattern reported consistently across write-ups is:

  • Wait for the glow. Pim becomes vulnerable when it glows green.
  • Shout to stun. Use Shout on the glow to lock it in place.
  • Close the distance and hit. Damage only lands during the stun window.
  • Repeat through each phase, with the safe window getting tighter as phases advance.

Attacking outside the stun window is where most runs end — the fight is a timing test, not a damage race.

Is the Pim boss limited time?

This is the second most asked question about the fight, and the honest answer is that no removal date has been announced by the developers. Slap Battles has a history of rotating seasonal content out, which is why the question keeps coming up — but as of 31 August 2026 there is no official statement retiring Pim, and the badges remain enabled in the game’s live badge list.

If that changes, the badge would stop being awarded and the holder count on this page would stop moving. We re-pull that number on every update, so a frozen count here is your early warning.

Where this data comes from

Badge holder counts, creation dates and the developer’s own badge descriptions on this page are read directly from the public Roblox badge API for universe 2380077519, pulled on 31 August 2026. Fight mechanics are drawn from cross-checking multiple independent August 2026 walkthroughs against the badge timeline — where those write-ups disagreed on detail, the disagreement is noted rather than resolved by guesswork.
